Het festival wordt gebouwd door circa 40 professionele zandkunstenaars uit alle hoeken van de wereld. Niet minder dan 10.000 ton zand wordt gesculpteerd op een oppervlakte van ruim 4.000 m², goed voor een bezoek van ruim anderhalf uur.

 

Het festival is officieel het grootste zandsculpturenfestival ter wereld.

 

The festival is officially the largest sandsculpturefestival in the world.

The Sand Sculpture Festival will be built by an international team of 40 professional artists, drawn from countries as diverse as Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Siberia and Australia. The festival is a technical tour de force, created from millions of kilograms of specially prepared sand by masterful hands from around the world.
